If the Fire Alarm is Activated
- if you can safely do so, exit the building using the nearest stairway. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS. Both elevators will return to the Lobby and will remain there. They may only be operated by Fire Department personnel.
- Feel your door before opening it to go to the stairs. If it is warm, keep it closed and stay in your unit.
- If you choose to remain in your unit, keep the doors doors into the hallways closed but unlocked.
- Fire Department equipment will arrive within 3 to 5 minutes of the alarm sounding.
- Listen to instructions from the Fire Department on the emergency paging system. Stay close to the speaker in your unit and turn off background noises. If an evacuation is ordered, the Fire Department will instruct residents on WHEN and HOW to evacuate. The floor affected will be evacuated first, followed by the floors immediately above and below and finally all other floors. Evacuation must be by STAIRWAY.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
We currently have three AEDs installed at the Landmark at the following locations:
- Gym on the wall near the weights
- 7th floor near the elevator
- 12th floor near the elevator
Power Outages
- In the event of a power failure, our Emergency Generator will automatically provide power for common areas including the garage, hallways, one elevator and the Public Address (PA) system. Residents will be kept informed of current conditions and instructions via the PA system.
Your Emergency Contact Information
- Please keep the Office informed of any changes to your Emergency Contacts information. Update it in Condo Control Central as well.
- We recommend that you keep emergency numbers near all phones and keep a flashlight and extra batteries readily available.
